The Soln team
Matt Schulz
Co-founder
Matt brings expansive, hands-on experience in real estate to Soln, shaped by years working with buyers and sellers, managing properties, and overseeing renovation, interior, and outdoor space projects. His experience spans the full lifecycle of a home—from acquisition and improvement to day-to-day care and long-term stewardship.
He approaches every space with an exacting eye for detail and a belief that how a home is cared for directly shapes how it’s experienced. Matt stays close to the work, isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, and has personally completed multiple renovation projects while also leading and coordinating teams.
Matt values being able to share this special place with people from all over the world. At Soln, his focus is steady oversight, clear standards, and care that supports both meaningful stays and long-term confidence for owners.
Jeff Nikolaisen
Co-founder
Jeff brings a technology-driven, systems-minded background to Soln, shaped by years working in tech and leading customer success teams. His experience centers on building processes that are clear, reliable, and human—so operations run smoothly while people feel supported.
Alongside his work in technology, Jeff has experience owning and renovating properties and working with local government officials, giving him a practical understanding of how homes are improved, operated, and brought into compliance.
Jeff enjoys being part of the local community and helping create stays that feel calm, well-supported, and intentional. At Soln, he oversees the systems that support communication, scheduling, compliance, and performance—creating a foundation that allows care and attention to show up consistently.
Peet
Head of support
Peet has spent over a decade perfecting the art of being nearby, staying calm, and offering companionship when it’s needed most. After years of dedicated service, he now operates in a semi-retired capacity—overseeing morale, testing comfy spaces, and reminding everyone to take breaks.
His approach to support is simple and effective: steady presence, excellent listening skills, and an unmatched ability to sense when a nap is required (for himself or others). While his workload has slowed, his standards have not.
Peet is happiest on long hikes under open skies or stretched out in a sunlit patch —indoors or out. He embodies the Soln ethos in its purest form—calm, grounded, and quietly attentive—most of the time.
Junior support
Gus
Gus brings youthful enthusiasm and an ever-curious spirit to the Soln support team. Where Peet leads with calm, Gus leads with optimism—always ready to investigate, observe, and quietly supervise whatever’s happening nearby.
His role focuses on early detection (of snacks, open doors, and potential adventure), morale boosting and providing enthusiastic greetings when appropriate. Gus takes his responsibilities seriously, even if his execution occasionally involves zoomies.
Always eager for an outing, Gus thrives on fresh air, wide-open spaces, and following Peet’s lead. Together, they represent the full spectrum of Soln support: steady, warm, and (somewhat) quietly present.
